Continuing Education Opportunities At Alpas Wellness
Access To Relevant Substance Use Disorder Training
In the state of Maryland, certified and licensed counselors and therapists are required by the Department of Health to participate in a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education every two years.[1] From courses and workshops to seminars and symposiums, they must intentionally maintain existing skills and cultivate new ones.
The purpose of continued education is to constantly provide the highest possible quality of care and stay informed of cutting-edge interventions and trending threats to recovery. As a community-focused resource, Alpas Wellness is committed to delivering practical opportunities for our own staff and providers in our area, with local outlets to maintain the required certifications.
